The Cooke College Scholarship Program

The James Kent Cooke Foundation was founded in 2000 by none other than James Kent Cooke himself. He had left in his will that a foundation was to be started in his name. The Cooke College Scholarship Program looks for the undergraduates that have worked harder than any other high school student. This foundation recognized those that have put their all and then some into their successful high school career.

So far since 2000, the James Kent Cooke Foundation has spent $222 Million in rewards for students who show excellent promise but did not have the finical assistance to achieve and ivy league dream. Awarding the money to over 2,800 eligible and chosen students must be a senior graduate.

What is the eligibility?

You could receive an invitation to apply for this scholarship in the mail

As a senior high school student, the mailbox starts to overrun with invitations to apply to so and so college. However, that’s where this scholarship is different. This scholarship can cover an entire 4-year college career for anyone who has been invited to apply. Most are chosen if they receive this invitation.

What does the reward consist of?

The Cooke College Scholarship Program covers 4-years of college, this means the 5th year will not be covered and the student will need to apply for a separate scholarship that covers that level.
